For the first time, the two Swiss Platforms for Sustainable Cocoa and Coffee have held their annual meetings jointly. The event took stock of the progress made by the Platforms and their members. The focus was on how common challenges – such as climate change and human rights risks – can be tackled in a coordinated manner.
Both the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (SWISSCO) and the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) pursue the same goals: farming families who grow cocoa and coffee should earn a living income, human rights must be respected along the entire supply chain, and coffee and cocoa cultivation should not harm the environment. At the same time, rising climate risks must be addressed.
At its general meeting, the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Coffee adopted its Roadmap 2030. This sets out milestones to be achieved by 2030. At its core is a process that fosters shared learning and promotes cooperation.
At World of Coffee 2025 in Geneva, the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) launched its second funding window for Collaborative Impact Projects, with over 70 participants joining the event.
The Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (SWISSCO) and the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) will host a "Landscape Week" in Zurich.
We are happy to announce that as of today, 1 April, we have opened the "Seed funding Call" for members under the newly established SSCP Project Facility.
The Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) was founded yesterday, 13 November 2024, in Bern. The Coffee Platform has seen a strong increase in membership since its launch in the summer. It now has 60 members from various sectors of the Swiss coffee industry.
