Becoming a Member
The Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform is open to all stakeholders of the Swiss coffee sector who actively support the association’s mission. We have joined forces to ensure more sustainability in the coffee industry. By bundling our efforts, we have a higher impact.
The Coffee Platform is structured into the following member categories, along with the associated members:
- Category A: private sector i.) green coffee traders ii.) roasters & processors iii.) retailer, gastronomy & coffeeshops iv.) coffee-related businesses (e.g. producers and sellers of coffee related equipment)
- Category B: non-profit organisations, including consumer, labelling and standard-setting organisations;
- Category C: Universities, research and applied science institutes
- Associated members: sector associations and service providers (non-voting)
Members profit from the following benefits:
- building synergies for the achievement of sustainability goals in the coffee sector
- access to a network of competent partners from member sectors and coffee-producing countries
- funding opportunities for projects in countries of the Global South
- access to relevant information in coffee sustainability such as our newsletter
The requirements for membership are:
- a legal entity with its registered office in Switzerland
- activity in one of the member sectors (private sector, non-profit organisations, research, or associated member)
- payment of the annual membership fee (varies depending on the sector)
